On October 6th at 2230hrs, Delaware City Fire Co (15) was dispatched to the 1100 Block of Govoner Lea Rd for a commercial structure fire with Christiana's Engine 6 & Ladder 12 for mutual aide assist. Crews arrived to find heavy smoke in the building and a fire in a large piece of machinery. Christiana crews assisted with extinguishing the fire and Ladder company duties. Crews operated for over a hour.
