On December 21st at about 1700 Box 1231 was transmitted for a dryer on fire in a multiple dwelling. Engine 12,6 and Ladder 12 responded with 11 firefighters. Deputy Chief 6 arrived with smoke showing from the 2nd floor. Engine 12 stretched a water line to the 2nd floor while Engine 6 provided the back up line. Ladder 12 searched the fire floor while Ladder 9 searched the floor above. Companies found a dryer on fire with smoke thru out a 2nd floor apartment. The fire was controlled quickly and searches proved negative. Units operated for 1 hour.
