CFC Responds to Townhouse Fire

On March 20th at about 0100 hours box 1217 was alerted for a townhouse on fire with a injury at the Cobblestone Townhouses. Engine 12 and Engine 6 responded along with Ladder 12. Ladder 12 was clearing a cover up assignment and was responding from a distance. Engine 12 arrived with smoke showing. The crew stretched an attack line. Engine 6 arrived and assumed second engine duties. Rescue 23 arrived as the 1st special service. The fire was quickly controlled. The patient that was injured was transported by New Castle County EMS and Ambulance 8. Ten minutes into the incident the assignment was scaled back to Engine 12,6, Ladders 15 and 12 and Rescue 23. Companies operated for 1 hour. The injured patient was transported to Christiana trauma center.
