Congratulations to CFC Members Karl Walters, Larry DuHadaway Jr., and Minh Nguyen for being recognized for their outstanding service.
On September 14, 2016 the Delaware State Fire Police meeting was held at Dover Downs Hotel and Casino. DSP Colonel McQueen presented the New Castle County Fire Police Officer of the year award to Karl Walters. Karl is a life member of CFC and has held several offices within CFC and the county and state associations.
On September 15th, 2016 during opening ceremonies of the 2016 DVFA Conference, Larry DuHadaway Jr. was presented with a certificate for 50 years of active service. Larry is a life member of CFC. He has held several offices over the years. Larry was joined by his family to accept the certificate. Larry's has mentored many fire fighters over the years, including his son, Larry III and Daughter Kelly. The DuHadaway family is a staple in CFC history!
Minh Nguyen and his wife Michelle were inducted into the Fire Fighters Hall of Fame and recognized for his dedication to service and life saving measures. Minh has held the office of Captain and Assistant Chief. Unfortunately, He was not able to attend the ceremonies.
