Propane Leak

On July 22nd at 0525 Christiana Fire Company was alerted to 1925 Pulaski Hwy for MVC. On arrival crews found a pick up truck had collided with retail propane filling station. The Pipes were broken at the time of the crash and released 200+ gallons of product in first hour. Companies set up a hazard zone and stood by for the propane company to respond. The leak was controlled by valve. Several pockets of propane dissipated after two hours. Engine 12,Ladder 12,Rescue Engine 12,Quint 7,Squad 23,Haz Mat 30 operated for three hours. There were no injuries.
