Christiana and Minquas of Newport responded to I-95 @ Churchman’s Marsh for an MVC with entrapment. A-23 was the first unit on scene confirming negative entrapment, but there were multiple vehicles involved and requested zone Fire Police. The next units to arrive on scene were Rescue’s 23 and 12, and B-12 as well as Deputy 23 who took command and held it to units on scene. A-23 and B-12 evaluated 5 patients but only two were transported for minor injuries. The driver of the Ford Pick up (shown in the picture) manage to walk away from the heavily damaged vehicle with only a minor scratch and refused service. Fire Police kept 2 lanes of I-95 closed until the vehicles could be removed. All lanes of I-95 were opened at 2130 hours.
