"The Best Get Better" - Fire Station 12

Thursday, July 2, 2015

A new year brings a new beginning! The leadership of Christiana Fire Company has made it a goal for the year 2010, to re-define the structure and attitude of "Training"! This year, weekly training has been assigned a "Focus". Each Wednesday of the month will contain a structured training environment that will ultimately lead to a higher goal. To explain; each quarter of the year we will train in a specific operation. The first quarter of 2010 has been assigned "Rescue Operation's". January, the first month of the first quarter, will focus on Vehicle Rescue Operations. Every Wednesday of each month has been assigned with a defined "Focus" relating to that months goal. The First Wednesday, relating to equipment review and utilization, Scene / Personal Safety and SOP familiarization. The Second, relating to Fire Fighter patient care assistance and packaging exercises. The third, pertaining to leadership training and dissemination to the Members acting as Crew leaders / Incident Commanders. The Fourth and final Wednesday implements the entire month’s education by conducting multiple extrications, patient treatment / packaging and scene management. February to follow with the same guidance and structure, but with the focus of another section of our "Rescue Operation's"! Pictures below display our Junior, Probationary, Senior members and Officers conducting and participating in the first Wednesday of the month’s training held at Fire Station 12.
