On August 9th Christiana Fire Company, Engine 10 (Aetna Hose Hook and Ladder of Newark),Engine 32 (Wilmington Manor) and Ladder 15 (Delaware City) were alerted for a Townhouse on fire in Saint Andrews Townhouses. Assistant Chief Lutz arrived with smoke showing. Engine 126 arrived first and laid a supply line and stretched a attack line to the second floor. Engine 64 arrived next and secured a water supply. Ladder 15 arrived next and searched the home and provided the outside duties of basement check, ground ladders, horizontal venting and a rear size up. The fire was located in the kitchen area and quickly knocked down. The area was checked for extension and none was found. No injuries were reported. Assistant Chief Lutz had command. Units cleared in about one hour.
