At 0143 hours Christiana Fire Company and Minquas of Newport Fire Company were alerted to a MVC with a person trapped on Interstate 95 north bound at the Service area. Engine 126 arrived to find a small car underneath a gasoline tanker truck. The person involved in the crash refused transport to the hospital. Engine 126 and Engine 23 worked to reduce the chances of an explosion and called for HazMat 30 (Belvedere Fire Company) and the Delaware department of Natural Resources and Environmental control. Crews worked thru the night to pump off the gas from the tanker and secure the automobile. Engine 126 cleared at 0635.
