Townhouse Fire - Saddlebrook

On the evening of February 28th Christiana Fire Company and surrounding companies were alerted to a apartment fire on Brookedge Court at the Iron Hill Apartments. Engine 36 arrived as the Engine and found a fire in a third floor apartment. A line was stretched and the fire was attacked. Engine 126 arrived and took the first special service. The crew split into the inside and outside team. The interior team searched the apartment and removed a dog. The fire was quickly controlled and the assignment was scaled back. Units cleared in about 45 minutes. On March 3rd Christiana and surrounding companies were alerted to Saddlebrook Townhouses for a Townhouse on fire. Chief Reeder arrived and reported fire showing. Engine 126 and Ladder 12 arrived within four minutes. The Engine laid a supply line and stretched an attack line to the front door. Chief Reeder got a verbal report of a person trapped in the home. The Ladders interior crew made entry and searched the home with negative results. The Engine crew quickly controlled the fire. The Ladder's outside team laddered the building and cleared the windows. There was extension to the 2nd floor that was controlled by the roof team. Units remained on the scene for two hours. There were no injuries. At 2229 hours on March 3rd Christiana and the area units were alerted to a house on fire. Engine 126 arrived to find a outside fire that extended to a private dwelling. The crew stretched an attack line and quickly controlled the fire. The home was checked and there was only minor extension. Command held Christiana units and Engine 23. Units cleared in 30 minutes.
