May 14th - The Christiana Fire Company in partnership with the Delaware State Police held its annual spring open house at Troop 2 headquarters on Pulaski Highway. In spite of the rainy weather the event was well attended by over 500 people. There was a moon bounce and face painting for the little ones. In addition there were safety displays, vehicle rescue demonstration, a smoke house and refreshments. The Delaware State Police helicopter also made an appearance. The award winning Fire Prevention Committee is already planning for bigger and better fire prevention activities in the future.
