Two Fires and a MVC

On April 1st Christiana Fire Company was alerted to a person that fell into a well. Ambulance 3, Engine 12 and Ladder 12 responded as well as Deputy Chief 12.  Units arrived to find an elderly gentleman who was working on his sewer system and had fallen into a pit and was no able to extricate himself. Crews helped the gentleman out of the hole. He was not injured but he was dirty. Units cleared in 20 minutes.

 

On April 10that 1857 box 0989 was sounded for the roof on fire at the Popeyes Chicken on Capital Trail. Chief 98 responded and added Ladder 12 to the assignment.  Deputy Chief 8 arrived with Engine 82 and found a small fire at the roof line. Ladder 12 and Aetna units operated for 40 minutes extinguishing the fire.

 

On April 11thBox 1500 was sounded for a garage fire. The assignment was Engine 15,Engine 29 and Ladder 15. Chief 29 arrived with a working fire. Engine 6 was added as the RIT Company. Engine 6 arrived and acted as the RIT Company then assisted with overhaul. Units operated for 1 hour. There were no injuries.

 

On April 15thChristiana Fire Company was alerted for a MVC trapped on Reybold Rd. Ambulance 6 arrived to find one trapped. Engine 3,12 and 6 arrived and removed the patient. The patient was transported to Christiana trauma center with Medic 3. Units cleared and responded to  a Pedestrian struck.
