MVC and Fires

Christiana Fire Company with automatic aid comapines were alerted to a apartment fire at the Village of Canterbury. Engine 12 and Ladder 12 arrived to find a fire in a second floor apartment. The fire was extinguished and searches were negative. The company operated for 45 minutes.

 

Ladder 12 was alerted to a 32 box for a stove fire in a townhouse. Engine 32 arrived and found a kitchen fire. Engine 32 secured a water supply and stretched an attack line. Ladder 12 arrived next and conducted searches and gave the side C report.  Units operated for 45 minutes. Searches were negative. There were no injuries.

 

A week or so ago the greater Newark area endured a significant rain storm. Christinana stayed busy responding to cars in high water and MVC's. The Engine also responded to a car on fire and quickly extinguished the fire.

 

Engine 6 and 12 responded to a MVC overturned.  Engine 6 arrived to find a car overturned with minor injuries. Engine 6 cleared the ALS unit as well as the second engine. Engine 6 operated for 20 minutes.
