Fires and MVCs

Christiana Fire Company was alerted to a Trailer fire in the Glasgow Court Trailer Park. E3 arrived and found smoke showing. A water supply was secured and a attack line stretched. The fire was quickly controlled and searches were negative. Units operated for one hour. There were no injuries. 

 

Christiana Fire Company was alerted to a townhouse fire. Engine and Ladder 12 arrived to find and small fire on the 2nd floor. An attack line was stretched and the water supply secured. Searches were negative and the fire was quickly controlled. Units operated for 30 minutes. There were no injuries. 

 

On September 21st Station 15, Amb A12,B12,B6 and 3 more BLS units were alerted to a bus overturned with multiple injuries. Ladder 12 and Engine 124 had just returned from and run and were added onto the run. Ladder 12 arrived to find a bus overturned with about 50 injuries and 3 patients trapped in and under the bus. Multiple BLS and ALS units responded. All the patient's were transported to area hospitals. Companies operated for four hours.  

 

On Friday morning at 0529 hours, Christiana Fire Company was alerted for a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Pulaski Highway and LaGrange Ave Box Area 1221.  The assignment was upgraded to MVC with a subject trapped prior to units arriving on location.  Command 3 arrived to a three vehicle collision and confirmed one person trapped.  Command 3 special called an additional rescue.  Crews from RE12-6 and RE 3-6 removed the driver’s door and lifted the dash to free the trapped individual.  The B post was removed to open the driver’s side of the vehicle to allow A6 and NCC Medic 6 to remove the individual without any obstructions.  RE 6-6, RE 15-6, A12, and Troop 4 were also on location to support the rescue effort and treat other injuries for the MVC.
