A box alarm was sounded for smoke coming from the ceiling of a strip mall. Engine 12 and Engine 3 responded. Engine 3 was assigned to supplement the crew of Ladder 9 and operate on the roof above the store on fire. Engine 12 arrived and established a water supply to the rear and got an attack line in service. The fire was controlled and units operated for 2 hours.
