2nd Alarm Fire

On February 18th a box alarm was transmitted for smoke from the roof of a commercial building in the Pencader Business Park. .  Engine 3 and Ladder 12 were on the initial assignment. Chief 9 arrived and reported smoke showing and transmitted a 2nd alarm. While units were responding to the initial call another call was received in Newark for a inside odor. Engine 12 and Rescue 14 were assigned to that call. However when the 2nd alarm was transmitted Engine 12 and Rescue 14 were added onto the 2nd alarm. Units arrived at the commercial building fire and extinguished the roof fire. Searches were negative. Units operated on the roof in freezing temperatures for two hours making sure the fire was extinguished. There were no injuries.
