May 30th started with several calls for Christiana Firefighters which led to a busy night...
Around 0300 Engines 6 & 12 responded on box 2780 for a "house on fire." Engine 6 arrived and laid a second supply line for Tower 27. The Engine crew assisted with extinguishment. The crew operated for three hours before being released by command.
Shortly after 0400 Ladder 12 was dispatched on Box 2840 for a report of a commercial structure fire at 100 N Dupont Hwy. Ladder 12 arrived as first due special service with a working fire in the rear of the store. The crew performed forcible entry and the primary search. The company operated for two hours.
This day was also the last shift for Firefighter/Emt Cameron McKay, He will begin a new career with the DC Fire Dept. Good luck Alaska, thanks for the memories and laughs.
