Apartment Fire

On October 8th Rescue Engine 12 was operating at a stove fire in a private dwelling when box 1225 was transmitted for a apartment on fire at the Rockwood Apartments. Engine 9, Engine 23 and Rescue 23 were clearing the box alarm for the stove fire and responded. Engine 9 arrived first followed by Engine 23 and Rescue 23. Engine 9 opened the front door and found smoke pushing from the apartment. Engine 23 and Rescue 23 performed the pre-arrival assignments. Engine 9 found a small fire in the kitchen with a sprinkler activation. Ladder 28 performed the searches above the fire apartment. All searches were negative and there was no extension. Rescue Engine 12 arrived as the 3rd Engine and was the RIT company. Units operated for forty minutes. There were no injuries.
