On November 5th Engine and Ladder 12 were alerted to a house on fire on Gene Ave in Castle Hills. Engine 18 arrived with fire showing from a one story private dwelling. Ladder 12 arrived as the third special service and Engine 12 arrived as the fourth engine. The attack was slowed due to significant clutter in the home, Ladder 12 was detailed to the rear to make access for an additional attack line. Slowly crews gained the upper hand and were able to extinguish the fire. One patient was transported to Christiana trauma center. Engine and Ladder 12 remained on the scene for one hour.
