On July 23rd at 1606 hrs a 1st alarm assignment was dispatched for the Chapman Woods Townhouses for a Townhouse on fire. Engine 66 was clearing a public service detail close to the address. Engine 126 also responded from station 12. Engine 66 arrived 1st and reported fire showing. Engine 126 arrived next as the first special service. Searches were quickly done and proved negative. E66 established a water supply and got an attack line in service. The fire got control of the attic and ran to exposure B and B1. An extra Engine and Ladder were added to the assignment then a 2nd alarm. Crews worked for over an hour to control the fire. There were no injuries. Units remained in service for three hours.
