Dodgeball Tournament - Camden, DE

Saturday March 4th– Members of the Christiana Fire Company took a well-deserved break from their firefighting and administrative duties to participate in a Dodgeball Madness Tournament to benefit Special Olympics Delaware. The tournament was held at Caesar Rodney High School in Camden Delaware and attracted 36 teams and 220 participants. The tournament is an annual event and one of many fundraisers organized by Delaware Law Enforcement for Special Olympics. Christiana’s Deputy Chief Richard Perillo was one of the organizers. The fire company sponsored two teams; The Crusty Bananas were captained by Matt Lutz with team members Billy Anderson Jr, Minh Nguyen, Brandon Speakman, Don Moorhead and Rob Harvey Jr. The Rusty Havanas were captained by Tony Divirgilis and team members were Rob McFarland, Chris O’Neal and Tyler Divirgilis. The Rusty Havanas were eliminated just prior to the championship round. The Crusty Bananas advanced to the championship round and placed 6thout of 36 teams.
