On June 20th around 6pm E12 was responding to a mulch fire in Eden Square. While responding a box alarm was sounded for a private dwelling fire in Caravel Woods off Howell School RD. Chief 158C arrived to find fire showing. Engine 12 arrived and secured a water supply on side A and stretched an attack line thru the front door. Squad 3 arrived and searched the 1st and 2nd floor with support from Ladder 15. Engine 6 arrived and placed an attack line thru the garage to extinguish several cars and the garage that was on fire. Assistant Chief Divergillis arrived and assumed command. With the extreme heat units had reduced operating time than normal. All searches proved negative. The fire was controlled in 30 minutes. Companies operated for three hours.
