House Fire, Trailer Fire, MVC trapped - Bear

At 2344 hours on August 7th a box alarm was transmitted for a dwelling on fire in Newark at 99 S Chapel Street. Squad 12 had just cleared a fire alarm and responded. Engine 9 arrived with smoke showing from a three story balloon frame duplex. Engine 9 established a water supply and got a line on the fire. Squad 12 arrived next and completed the searches and outside duties. The fire was quickly controlled and searches proved negative. The fire was contained to the floor joists on the 1st floor. Squad 12 and Engine 3 cleared in 20 minutes. On August 8th Box 1520 was transmitted for a trailer on fire in the Kings Mill Trailer Park off Red Lion Rd. Squad 12 quickly responded on this hot afternoon. Chief 158C arrived with smoke showing from a trailer with one patient. Squad 12 and Rescue /Engine 15 arrived at the same time. Squad 12 laid a supply line and placed the front bumper line in service. Rescue Engine 15 took the special service duties and completed the search and opened up. The fire had taken over two rooms and the hallway. The fire was knocked down and later arriving units assisted with overhaul. Squad 12 remained on the scene for two and a half hours. On August 11th Squad 3 was on radio when a MVC with multiple people trapped was called in by Ambulance 10 at S College Ave and Four Seasons Parkway. Squad 3 was in the near this intersection and was added to the assignment. Sqaud 3 arrived and was assigned to one of the two cars that had a patient trapped. Firefighters worked for 15 minutes on extrication. Units cleared in 30 minutes.
