On September 4th at 1250 A box alarm was transmitted for smoke coming from the basement of a Townhouse in Forest Glen in Bear. Engine 3,Engine 12, Ladder 12 and Deputy 6 responded. Deputy 6 arrived first and found smoke showing from the basement. Engine 3 arrived 1st and established a water supply and stretched an attack line. Engine 12 arrived and secured the supply line and got a backup line stretched. Ladder 12 arrived and spit the crew for the inside and outside duties. The fire was located in the laundry area and contained to that room. No extension was found to the upper floors and searches proved negative. Companies operated for 45 minutes. There were no injuries.
