Townhouse Fire - Wilton

On September 8th at 1747 hours Box alarm 1215 was transmitted for a Townhouse on fire in Bedford Park section of Wilton. Engine 124, Ladder 12 and the District commander were responded within a minute. All three units arrived to find smoke coming from the second floor of a townhome. Engine 12 secured a water supply and stretched an attack line. The Ladder crew split into the inside and outside teams and provided ladders, searches, a basement check and side C report. The engine crew found a fire in the second floor bedroom and quickly extinguished it. Searches were negative. Engine 23,Ladder 28 and Rescue 18 also operated at the incident. Units cleared in on hour. There were no injuries. On September 8th at 2250 hours Christiana Fire Company was alerted to a MVC with one person trapped on Red Lion Rd at Old Porter Rd. Engine 6, Ambulance 6 and Squad 12 arrived to find two injuries and one person trapped. The patient was extricated. Ambulance 29, Ambulance 6 with Medic 6D transported to Christiana trauma center. Units cleared in 30 minutes.
