House fires and MVC Trapped - Newark

On October 5th Christiana Fire Company was alerted to a vehicle crash on Pulaski Highway and Glasgow Drive. Squad 3 arrived to find multiple injuries and one trapped. Squad 3 started the extrication as Engine 12 arrived. Both units worked to perform a sidewall removal. Four patients were taken to Christiana trauma center with Medic 6C. Units cleared in 30 minutes. On October 7th at 0655 hours Engine 12 and Squad 3 were alerted on box 0980 in Newark for smoke coming from the bottom of a stove. Units responded to the Morgan Crossing apartments on Chestnut Crossing drive. Engine 12 arrived with Deputy Chief 9 and Engine 9 to find smoke showing from a three story apartment building. An attack line was stretched and the fire was quickly extinguished. Searches proved negative. Engine 12 and Squad 3 operated for 20 minutes. There were no injuries. On October 9th at 1839 hours Engine 3 and Squad 12 were alerted to a private dwelling fire off Pleasant Valley Rd in Glasgow. Engine 10 arrived to find a fire in the kitchen. Two attack lines were stretched and searches were conducted. Squad 12 arrived and was assigned to perform a search of the second floor. Squad 12 operated for 30 minutes until being released by command. There were no injuries.
