On Friday April 10th at approximately 10:00 hrs the NCC 911 Communications Center began to recieve calls for a fire with 2 subjects trapped at the Possum Park Apartments, Bldg G. Christiana was dispatched with Aetna on the initial response. First arriving units reported fire showing and the 2nd alarm was quickly struck. Engine 124, Engine 36, Ladder 12 and Deputy Chief 6 operated for several hours in mulitple capacities. There was one fatality and four injuries reported. Of the four injuries transported to Christiana ER, two were firefighters. Multiple companies responded or covered from Delaware and Maryland.
